Welcome to Baltic Au-Pair explore the world

Au Pairs - Did you ever thought of going to a foreign country for a certain period? Are you between studies or do you want to do something different for a year? Do you like children and you want to learn a foreign culture and language? Maybe is a year working as an au pair something for you?

An au pair - is typically a young person who wants to improve her knowledge of a language in exchange for looking after the host family’s children and partaking in light housework (related to the children).
An Au Pair is like an older sister or brother therefore she/he should be treated as another member of the family. Many families and au pairs have built up lasting relationships and have often been in attendance at each others weddings or other special occasions many years after spending time together!
Au Pairs provide children with an invaluable exposure to other cultures and can be very educational for them. It is also much nicer for children to have someone who is able to mind them in their own home, someone who becomes a close and trusted friend to them.
Families should note that Au Pairs are not trained childminders and therefore it is at the Families own discretion and risk if they leave the children in the sole care of an Au pair.

An au pair is not younger than 18 years and not older than 27 years. We expect that an au pair has a reasonable knowledge of the English language. You have to be flexible to mange yourself appropriate in another environment. You must also be motivates to stay a year abroad.

An au pair gets between €300 and €340 pocket money per month.
